Born Jerome Leon Bruckheimer in Detroit, Michigan on September the 21st 1943.
Graduates from the University of Arizona in 1967 with a degree in Psychology before starting work in advertising.
Works on his first film “The Culpepper Cattle Co.” as an Associate Producer.
Works as a Producer for the first time on “Farewell, My Lovely”.
Produces “Flashdance” - his first joint film with Don Simpson.
Produces the first of the Beverly Hills Cop franchise which beat every other film at the box office.
Produces Tony Scott's "Top Gun”, starring Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer. This ranks top of the box office chart for the year.
Ends his partnership with Don Simpson after producing 11 films together.
Produces Tony Scott’s political thriller “Enemy of the State”, starring Will Smith and Gene Hackman
Produces Boaz Yakin’s “Remember the Titans”, starring Denzel Washington
Produces the first of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.
Becomes the first producer in Hollywood history to produce the top two highest grossing films of a single weekend: "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl" and "Bad Boys II"
"Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest" becomes the third film he has produced which wins the title of highest grossing film of the year.
Awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his contribution to film.
